Things to do

Summer

Climbing: From Trad, Sport and Bouldering, check out local crags at Begbie Bluffs, Shakedown, Blanket Canyon, or the insanely breathtaking Waterworld, and many more. Revy's got all climbers covered. Grab a copy of Revelstoke Rocks for more details.

Hiking: There are hikes for all levels of people in Revelstoke; from short easy hikes along the Greenbelt to longer harder hikes like the Mt Begbie trail. See link below for further details on this and other local hikes:

Canoe/ Kayak/ SUP on Arrow Lake: During the late spring and peak of summer is the best time to go paddling right out of our front door. Once the Columbia River is flooded from the Revelstoke Dam you can head directly across the road to the launch spot and paddle straight out.

Alternately head further down Airport way to many other water sport launches at “6 mile”, “9 mile” or head right to the end of the road to the beach at the flats.

Swim at Williamson Lake: Just a short 1.5km walk, bike or drive away Williamson Lake is the perfect spot to recover from the days adventure or to simply lounge waterside and enjoy the sunshine and cool water.

Winter

Skiing / Snowboarding: Revelstoke Mountain Resort is a world class resort, with the most skiable vertical terrain in North America and it's only 2 minutes from our front door.

Ski Touring: Revelstoke is known not only for its resort skiing but also for its backcountry. With touring opportunities within minutes from town at Mt Macpherson, Mt Begbie among many others or the world class Roger Pass just 45 minutes from town, there's enough terrain for everyone.

Sledding: Revelstoke is known as one of Canada's premier sledding locations. Boulder Mountain, Frisby Ridge, Sale Mountain and Mount McCrae are only a small number of zones close to town.

Nordic / Cross Country Skiing: The Revelstoke Nordic Ski Club has a wide variety of trails for seasoned professionals and amateurs alike. Just on the other side of town, head over for some nordic fun and even take the dog as the club has dog friendly trails.

Snowshoeing: Revelstoke Mountain Resort and The Revelstoke Nordic Ski Club both have groomed and ungroomed trails for snowshoers. Or check out the Greenbelt right out our front door, the Inspiration Woods or the Soren Sorensen loop at Mt Revelstoke National Park or head for Mt Begbie for a more challenging tour.
